This elegant and romantic 18th-century villa and its magnificent gardens have welcomed writers, scholars and travelers, including the villa's last owner, Count Guido Monzino. 38 km from Como. The villa can be reached on foot or by taxi from Lido di Lenno.
Opening hoursVilla del Balbianello and its gardens will reopen on Friday, March 11th for the new season in 2023.
The last entrance to the gardens is at 17:00. Last admission for the 45-minute guided tour inside the villa is at 3. 30pm.
Closed on Mondays and Wednesdays, except on Italian public holidays.

Daily on foot from Lenno. A 1 km path with an uphill climb that can be reached in about 25 minutes. Nearest parking: 'Parcheggio Mercato' Via degli Artigiani, near Lido di Lenno, otherwise Via Diaz or Via Silvio Pellico. Parking can be difficult in summer due to heavy traffic. It is also possible to reach the villa from the water, using a paid taxi service in Lido di Lenno. Private services may not be available. It is also possible to reach the villa from the lake by private boat.Guided tours and group visits
For private guided tours, either individually or in a group, a private guide is required.At the end of the tour, a small bookshop welcomes you. There you can find local handicrafts and typical foods from Sicily, Umbria and other parts of Italy. Fresh drinks are also available.

Free admission for people with disabilities and their carers, in accordance with Law M. D. 507/97 (updated M. D. 13/2019) and Law 104/92.A visit to the villa costs 4 euros per person.
For events and other additional services, a reduced ticket is required.
Guide dogs and therapy dogs with a disability assistance training certificate may accompany the villa, always on a leash, in the park and in the villa.
The villa and the park are partially accessible for people with disabilities and wheelchairs.
How to get there: - The ticket office is accessible by car (on request). The villa has an elevator with a cabin for easy wheelchair access. There is a space in front of the door, allowing easy access to 3 of the 6 floors.
