When the weather warms up and everyone heads outside, prepare to never say "I'm bored" with these 33 fun games.

From active running games to water toys and muddy games that will make your kids happy with the hose, these activities are suitable for a wide range of ages. Most of them require simple preparation and can be done with things you already have at home.

Whether you're a mom, dad, babysitter or camp counselor, these games are sure to make your kids' summer fun!

Active toys

1.

Everyone loves obstacle courses. With items like tunnels, balance beams, hula hoops, string and pool noodles, you can create an obstacle course in your own backyard. Make a simple course for your toddlers and let them demonstrate how to complete it before they go through it. For older kids, have each child build an obstacle for their course. Time them as they go and try to beat their previous time. Or even have two lessons run side by side and have them compete!

All you need for this game is a scooter board and a road or sidewalk. Let your kids race while sitting on the scooter board.

Let's mix in a "red light, green light" game. One person stands at the finish line and says "green light," while the others get on their scooters. When that person says "red light," everyone has to stop. The first person to reach the finish line (by drawing a line with chalk) on the scooter wins. That person is responsible for shouting "red light, green light."

3. Animal Tag

Let's add animals for tag to the regular animal tag. Designate a place that will be the "cage" where the tagged player will be sent. Choose a child to be "it." Become a zookeeper and tag all the animals and send them back to the "cage." Choose another child to be a mischievous "monkey." The monkey can be tagged to get out of the cage.

Divide other children into groups. The division of the group is different depending on the number of people, but rabbits, frogs, kangaroos, groups that hops like horses, zebras, antelves, groups that run like cheeters and lions, dogs and pigs, There are groups that hide and high like bears and groups that skip. Choose animals according to the theme, such as zoo and cage, barn and barn.

4. 4 squares

• Reverse around the world: Same as above, but not.
• Ask the category king to choose a category such as food (state, movie stars, colors, etc.). Each player hits what he belongs to the category without repeating what he said before. Out if you repeat the same thing.
• Additional rules
  • When the bass stop king calls "bus stop", everyone has to ignore the ball and all four squares must touch the overlapping center with their feet.
  • Ballerina feet: When the king calls "ballerina feet", all the players must rush to their own corners and go to the first position of the ballet (match the heel and follow the toes along the corner).
  • Train: When the King calls "Train," everyone must quickly line up. The other players can shuffle along the line while the King shuffles and tries to tag someone.

  5. Bike Play.

  Biking is another fun outdoor activity. With a tricycle, bicycle, or adapted tricycle, most kids can enjoy biking around the neighborhood. You can also add games. Use chalk to compete for "how slow can you ride?" Draw straight or wavy lines and see who can ride the slowest without stopping or putting their feet down.   7. Kick the Can

Compete for which one can carry the cup to the edge of the string first!

  All you need for this game is a bucket with water and a large car wash sponge. Choose "it" from your child. Take the sponge and soak in a bucket. Then, chase other players with a wet sponge and tag. The person who tags first becomes "it" and replenishes the sponge.

  12. Frozen legs

  To play this game that is perfect for cooling on a hot day, you need a corner ice. This game has two versions.

  Version 1: Put the ice in the tablet and place the sky next to it. Set time limit (1-2 minutes). Children use only their feet to compete for how many horns can be moved, from full buckets to empty buckets. Next, make the second bucket empty and challenge another child. The person who was able to move the most square ice in the fixed time wins!

  Version 2: Fill the bathtub with ice, water, and marbles. Compete to see how many marbles you can scoop out of the bathtub using only your feet before the time is up. Put the marbles back in the bathtub and challenge another child. The person who scoops the most marbles wins!

  13. Over-Under Sponge Relay

  For this game, you need two large sponges, two buckets of the same size, and two large tubs of water. Divide the children into two groups and have them line up in a row. Place the full tubs at the front of the line and the empty buckets at the end of the line.

  Give the first person in line a large sponge. Hand the first person a large sponge, who then puts the sponge over their head and passes it to the next person. That person passes the sponge under their feet to the next person, who then passes it over their head. And so on. The child at the end of the line pushes the sponge into the bucket and runs to the front of the line to continue the relay. The first team to fill their bucket wins.

  If this seems too time consuming, use a smaller bucket or put a fill line in the bucket.

  14. Melt the Ice

  This game requires a little preparation, but it can be used by a range of ages and played individually or in groups.

  Play individually or as a team: Fill a large container with 1cm of water, play a few small games, freeze it. Add more water, play some games, and freeze again. Repeat with each layer until the container is full. Give them tools to remove and melt the ice (spoon, salt, brush, spray bottle, etc.) and melt the ice to reveal the treasure.

  Play as a team: This version is a little easier to prepare. Just fill an ice bag with a 1 yen coin and water. Then freeze it. Give each child a piece of ice and compete to see who can first melt the ice with their hands (without breaking it) and get the 1 yen coin. That child is the winner and everyone gets a 1 yen coin!

  Sometimes, freeform play is the best. Let your kids help you make a sprinkler. All you need is a sturdy plastic bottle, a drill, tape, and a garden hose. Use the drill to make holes in the bottle. Older kids can supervise this process. Then glue the container securely to the end of the garden hose. Turn on the water and you have an instant sprinkler! Your kids will have a great time running through the hose, jumping on it, and so on.

  16. Water Balloon Toss

  This game is very similar to egg toss, but with water balloons instead. First, fill the bowl with water balloons. Divide the kids into pairs and give each pair a water balloon. Have the kids throw the water balloon back and forth near each other. Once they've done it, have them both take another step back. If the water balloon pops or they can't catch it, they're out. The team that throws it the furthest wins!

  17.

  All you need for this water game is a hose. An adult holds the hose with water coming out. The kids take turns going down the hose. After each round, the adult lowers the hose. If the kids can't get under the steam, they're soaking wet and out! The last person tosses it wins!

  18 Drip, Drip Drench

  This twist on "Duck, Duck, Goose" involves a fun water game. Have all the kids sit in a circle except for the child who will be "It". The "It" person walks around the circle holding a wet sponge over the children's heads. Say "Drip, drip, drip" as they walk, and say "Water" as they hold the sponge over the head of the chosen player. The chosen player stands up and chases the chosen player around the circle trying to find him. The chosen player stands up and chases the chosen player around. If they are tagged, they must sit in the center of the circle until someone is tagged. The chosen player becomes the next It. Put the sponge back and start again!

  19. Table Tennis Exit

  Get some ping pong balls, some accessories, and some plastic cups. Write the numbers 1 to 5 on the cups.   20. Egg Roulette and Other Egg Games

  A cheap plastic sheet works well for these games.

  Egg Roulette Place several boiled eggs in a bowl and hide a raw egg inside it. The child must crack the eggs over their head until they have cracked one egg at a time.

  Egg Drop: Divide the kids into pairs and give each pair a raw egg. Throw the egg back and forth, taking a step back each time you drop it. The one who runs the longest distance without dropping the egg wins.

  Egg and Spoon Race: Give the kids a raw egg and a spoon. The one who makes it back and forth to the finish line without dropping the egg wins. If they drop the egg, they have to start from the starting line. If the egg breaks, they're out.

  21. Rainbow Tag.

  This fun colored face game combines tag with capture the flag. Get 5 rainbow tongue depressors. You'll also need corresponding face paint colors. Hide the tongue depressors and put face paint all over the yard.

  Choose someone to be "IT." The other players run around looking for the stick. When they find it, they put the same color face paint on their cheeks and keep looking without letting anyone know where the stick is.

  Meanwhile, IT is trying to highlight the other players. You can wipe the strip of paint off the tagged player's face.

  The first player to get a strip of each color on their face wins!

  22. Painting/ Gun Tag

  For these games, you need guns filled with watercolor paints.

  Gun Painting: Place a basket of paper or paper on a tree. Fill each gun with a different color. Then give each child a gun and let them squirt paint on the paper. Kids can switch guns and mix different colors.

  Water Gun Tag: Make sure everyone is wearing a white shirt that they don't mind getting dirty. Fill guns with two types of watercolor paint and split into groups. If they get sprayed with water by the other group's gun, they're a "hit" and are out. Play until only one person is left and their team wins!

  To expand on the game, play a Color Wars version. Individually or in groups, kids challenge others to be as colorful as possible (if they're "hit," they're not out). The child with the most white left on their shirt at the end of the allotted time wins!

  Other games

  23. Parachute game

  Mushroom, popcorn, cat and mouse, and many more. There are many games that involve parachutes!

  Start with popcorn. Divide the kids into two groups and have each grab a parachute handle. Take two colored balls and put them in the chute. Players in each group try to make the balls "pop" out of the chute by shaking the handle. The team with the most colored balls left in the parachute at the end wins!

  24.

  For these games, you will need a bean bag and a ladder or hula hoop.

  Bean bag ladder. Have the kids take turns to throw a bean bag up the stairs and compete for points. The player with the most points after everyone has had a turn wins.

  Hula Blockers: Get a hula hoop for each player and place it on the grass. Have them stand on the hula hoop and divide the bean bags equally. Each child has to throw the bean bag into the other player's hula hoop and try to keep it from going in the hoop. Playing with more than one child makes it even more challenging.

  25.

  Set up an inexpensive trap door with a kiddie pool and a beach ball. Choose a small toy or stuffed animal to hide in the ball. Then let your child search for toys in the ball pit. You can have a contest to see who can find the most toys the fastest. Hide the toys and repeat.

  26. Giant Games

  Twister: Play a giant game of Twister in your backyard. You will need a regular Twister spinner or one you made yourself. Then use four cans of spray paint to create a board in the grass and play a regular game of Twister. This is a fun game to play while you wait for the grass to be mowed.

  Tic-Tac-Toe: You can use the same spray paint to create a giant Tic-Tac-Toe boat. Pick an item, like a hula hoop, and play Tic-Tac-Toe!

  Memory: Make giant matching cards out of poster board. Help your child make the cards by drawing with markers. Then set the board so the cards are face down and play a giant version of Memory Lane!

  Have you ever played the computer game Simon? Use this Sidewalk Chalk Game to create an interactive and natural game. Make a Simon toy out of chalk. Make a circle out of paint.

  Have your child stand in the middle of the boat. Call a color, jump to that section, repeat, and jump back to the center. Then call the original color and a new color and have your child repeat the jumping sequence. Add more colors until your child can no longer remember the sequence.

  Use numbers, letters, or other pictures to add variety.

  28. Snakes and Worms

  Take some green and brown string and cut it into different sizes. Hide the strings around the yard. Divide the kids into two groups and choose a captain. The kids run around the yard looking for the string. The captain stands in the center of the yard and ties the yarn to make a long worm or snake. The team with the longest string wins.

  All you need for this easy game is a quarter and a bouncy ball. Place a quarter in the gap in the sidewalk. Have a child stand on each quarter and try to knock the quarter out by bouncing the ball. The first kid to knock a quarter off the sidewalk wins.

  30 Marbles

  For this classic game, you will need sidewalk chalk, small marbles, and large marbles. Draw a circle with a diameter of 3 feet with the chalk and draw a line down the center. Each player will have one large marble to use as the "shooter." Place 10-15 marbles in the center of the circle. Shoot the marbles off the ground. Grab all the marbles you can shoot out of the circle. Keep shooting your marbles until you run out of marbles. The last person with the most marbles wins.

  If you fail to hit a marble outside the circle, you must leave the "shooter" in the game. If another player hits it on their turn, that player wins and the game is over. If not, you can pick it up again on your next turn.

  31. Simon's Speak

  Choose one player to be "Simon." Simon will give orders to the other players. If Simon begins an order by saying "Simon says", everyone must follow the order. If Simon begins an order without saying "Simon says", players cannot take that action.

  For example, if Simon says "Simon says touch your toes!", you must touch your toes. If you don't touch your toes, you're out. If Simon says "Touch your toes!", you can't touch your toes. If you do, you're out.

  The last player standing wins and gets Simon for the next round.

  32. Scanner Hunt

  Have your kids play a scavenger hunt in the backyard. Write down clues and hide them for them to follow to find the treasure. For example, "Go up, go down, go down. Find me on the ground below." Lead them to the area below the slide to find the next clue.

  Or make a list of objects to find (sticks, leaves, round stones, etc.). The first person to find all the items on the list wins and gets a prize.
